Prof. Dr. Lütfi Sunar
Project Executive
He completed his undergraduate education in 2002 at Istanbul Bilgi University in International Relations and Economics. He later completed his doctorate in 2010 from Istanbul University’s Sociology Department with the dissertation “Karl Marx and Max Weber’s Approaches to Eastern Societies.” Lütfi Sunar, who has been working in the fields of sociological theory, history of sociology, and Orientalism, continues to work as a faculty member at the Sociology Department of Istanbul Medeniyet University.
Dr. Osman Ülker
Project Coordinator
He completed his undergraduate education from Selçuk University in 2008. After completing his master's degree at Manchester University, he returned to Turkey. He completed his doctorate in 2020 from Istanbul University Institute of Social Sciences with the dissertation titled "The Field of Cultural Production in Turkey and its Relationship with Religion: 1923-1980". He works in the fields of cultural policies, sociology of art, Islamophobia, and migration.
Zehra Aldemir
Cinematic Director
She graduated from Department of Cinema and Television at Istanbul Şehir University in 2016. She is continuing her postgraduate studies at Marmara University. She has worked as a catalog editor at the Bosphorus Film Festival for two years. She directed the documentaries in the "Oral History" project carried out by the Ministry of Interior and Bülbülzade Foundation. She has also worked as an assistant director in Derviş Zaim's film Flashdrive.
Onur Eğri
Cameraman / Film Editor
He graduated from the department of Cinema and Television, Gaziantep University in the year 2015. He has worked on many projects in the industry in the field of video production for many years. Between 2017-2018, he was engaged in the promotional activities and volunteer coordination of the Assalam Foundation in Tanzania-Zanzibar. Currently, he is working at İLKE Foundation’s studio.
Ömer Çolak
Cameramen
He graduated from the department of Cinema and Television, Marmara University, in the year 2020. He has worked as a screenwriter and director in various institutions since 2015. Currently, Çolak continues his professional career as ILKE Foundation as a video producer.
Fatih Turan
Cameramen / Film Editor
Turan graduated from the Department of Radio-Television and Cinema, Selcuk University, in the year 2014. Since 2009, he has worked at many positions from editing to directing in the field of corporate advertising, promotion and documentary. Currently, Turan is working at ILKE Foundation’s studio.
Huda Yıldırım
Translator/Project Assistant
She is pursuing her bachelor's degree from Istanbul Nişantaşı University, Department of Political Science and Public Administration. After completing elementary and secondary school in Arabic/French, Yıldırım completed her high school education in Arabic and English in the city of Damascus. She has been working as an Arabic / Turkish translator in Turkey since 2016.
Tuba Akdoğan
Project Assistant
She is attaining her bachelor's degree at the department of Sociology, Istanbul Medeniyet University. She is serving in the management of the university's Sociology society.
Hanife Kalkan
Project Assistant
Kalkan graduated from the Department of Sociology at Istanbul Medeniyet University in the year 2021. Currently she is pursuing her Master’s degree at Istanbul Medeniyet University, Department of Sociology. She is a member of the Scientific Studies Association’s (ILEM) education commission.
This project aims to reveal the effects of migration on the fields of culture and art and has been completed under auspices of İLKE Foundation that has considerably contributed to the society through various projects in different fields it has undertaken over years.
